Work to be completed and monitored by licensed contractor previously performing work in this area. Contractor will oversee work thus mitigating impacts to the environment and all work to be performed in compliance will all laws.
Project Alternatives: The following alternatives were considered:
(1) Relocation of the facilities outside the floodplain – There are no practicable alternatives to locating the proposed actions outside the floodplain as this would mean dry dock storage thus increasing emergency response time.
(2) No action alternative – This alternative is not feasible as the repairs and maintenance to the vessel would impact regular operability of vessel to respond. A vessel on a lift will increase the life of the vessel and provide immediate access for rapid response. With the no action alternative, negative impacts may be experienced.
